Yes you can lime now with no effects due to the weeds. The lime is changing the ph of the soil.

phosphorus would be the only nutrient i would add if you don’t plan on a summer crop. have at it with the lime having a living crop on the soil is the best thing you could have during the off season months. you want the soil “armored” aka covered with a living root system

I’ve already bent my over enough. Got 12 tons in bags because you can’t get a truck to the fields Dang, that's going to be a job too. I can't imagine opening and pouring 12 tons in the hopper from bags. And yes, I'm certain you got bent over on that deal. Couldn't pull a buggy in with a tractor?

Prepare to bend over on the lime. Just had 20 tons spread and it was high. Supposedly the closest source in Floridanid maxed out on capacity so it had to be trucked from Georgia. So maybe just a local thing or could have been blowing smoke yo my arse. Just curious what it cost per ton?

Wow! I had to pay $39/ ton just to have it dumped on site. It used to cost me about $18 for the same thing around 5 years ago. I got bent over too. I had to spread 164 tons.

I'm guessing I passed you as I was coming out of the woods, north on 231 from Hanover. Somebody headed south around 10:30 or so in a white? P/U towing a heavy duty dual axle car hauler type trailer loaded to the gills with bags of lime and fertilizer.
Used to be a lifeguard, until that blue kid got me fired.
