I’d bet your too tight for normal range. Other than that, I’d get your eyes checked.

You may have said - how far were the shots? Close shots are a booger - i like 25-35 yards and u could pattern at the range u been missing and see what u got. I hate 15 step r less

Seriously, I'm sorry for your troubles, and suspect as already mentioned that it's a combination of declining vision and a choke/ammo combination that is far too tight for a hunter with declining vision. Your pattern is impressive, but why do you need to hit the turkey with that many pellets at 46 yards? You could hit him with 25% of those and he would still be very dead. I would start by trying a factory full tube; I'd think you would still have a solid 50 yard gun and have a much wider pattern and far more room for aiming error.

And the next thing I would do is to ignore the Front Bead Nazis and put an electronic sight on the gun. I would much prefer to hunt without mine, but I recognize that I can no longer see correctly and I would rather put up with the electronic sight than to miss or wound turkeys. My father rarely missed in his first 20 years of turkey hunting, but then he started missing around age 50 when his vision declined. I tried to talk him into some sort of sight for the gun, but he insisted on sticking with the A5 and a front bead, and he kept missing turkeys. I inherited his hard headedness, but not that bad of a case.

So there is a couple of easy solutions, but if you want the Jinx Removal Package you will have to pay first. smile

Good luck getting it figured out.

Another point - I went fishing with a guy a few days ago who said he'd never seen a season when so many of his friends had missed multiple turkeys. He attributed it entirely to all of them shooting TSS through very tight chokes. That's anecdotal info, but I think it is happening a lot. I thought when we were first using TSS as handloaders that it's use would result in fewer missed or wounded turkeys, but I am thinking now that I was wrong.

I know pattern being too tight/missing has bit me quite a few times.

Hope you get a resolution or find you a slump buster laugh

There’s some sho nuff slump busters asking for beers/change outside the depot every morning🤣 I can’t give turkey shooting advice, I just try to break a wing and run them down afterwards
