Yesterday forecast at 3:00pm: heavy rain in my area until 9 pm, rain stops at 3:30pm
Todays forcast at 12:30pm: rain and flooding from 3-9 pm rains lightly from 1 til 4pm
Couple weeks ago they called for rain all day and it never rained.
I do not understand how they can miss the timing of storms so often and sometimes completely.

Nor can they predict what either inflation or industrial output will be by next quarter.
But they can guarantee that the global world temperature will rise by 1.5 degrees (Centigrade) by 2050.

Used to be a lifeguard, until that blue kid got me fired.

Try guessing the weather yourself and see how it works out for you.

They all go off of computer models. So when the computer is wrong they are wrong. Sometimes fronts speed up.

They are all about the hype. Spend the whole time talking about severe weather and promoting their weather apps. Problem is schools (at least public schools) have to react and kids ending up staying home. Montgomery schools let out for the eclipse and had an early release today due to the severe threat of weather that they heard from the local TV station that does nothing but spread hysteria to sell weather radios and their app.

We will never be able to predict weather with 100% certainty. They do a pretty darn good job on the day to day. It’s still raining down here pretty good. I assume it shifted south. We’d be complaining if they didn’t warn us with enough info. God remains unbeaten in unpredictability.

They can't get the weather right consistently each day, but we're suppose to think they can pinpoint whether or not the climate is changing as a result of man

Ok, without looking at a forecast what will the weather be tomorrow, 3 days from now and when do you see the next possibly bad storm set-up coming and will it be in the daylight or darkness? I'll wait... grin

50% chance it’ll rain. 50% chance it won’t.

Yep. The world is complicated.

The part that I don't understand is why people that complain about the forecast repeatedly will continue watching it. It would be like taking financial advice from someone who has gone bankrupt repeatedly... beers

I'm honestly astonished at how dead-on the forecast can be even a week out. Especially a big cold front, or weather front.

But I’d like to think that if that was my only job I’d be better than all of these folks. Cause they’re pretty terrible

Heck Hal they showed the South being in the hot zone the last few days, not sure what their local forecaster showed lol.

I don't think the James Spann's/ meteorologist are the one's predicting the climate change?

Weather forecasts are amazing these days. The inability to understand that says way more about the people who can’t figure that out.

Yeah I knew it was going to be a good storm down here. My Tempest in Evergreen is pushing 4 inches and it was offline due to power outage during a couple hours of rain. Still booming around me right now. I’m usually happy when they’re wrong about strength of storm in my area!!
