If it doesn't have to be new, a 12 ga , 3" Browning Gold Stalker with 26" barrel is a great do-it-all shotgun.

Only because you didn't like the Berretta 300. If you are looking at possible used options then consider one of my all time favorites - the Beretta 390. It does it all and fits me well. You can pick up a nice used one for 600 to 750 depending on conditino. Like the 390 and 391. They have both in 30” if you prefer a longer sight plain.

But, I have been shooting my H&K Montefeltro for 37 years and it has never, ever failed to cycle anything. Dirty or clean. Also have an M1 Super 90 20G I recently acquired.

The 303 is an awesome shotgun. In fact one of the shotguns I've regretted selling over the years was a 303 version of the upland special with the straight comb stock. I couldn't miss with it ( or at least that's the way I remember it lol ) The Montefeltro's are great shotguns as well. I just prefer the gas operating system on the Beretta verses the inertia block on the Benelli. It shoots a little softer to me. I have a SBE2 and have had several Motefeltro's and there are no flies on the Benelli's for sure.
