About a week ago, after drinking too much, I woke up to an email from PSA saying I had bought this thing: Armalite M15 9mmI've never felt a want for an AR "pistol" before so I've never paid them much attention. Now I've got this one and think it'll be a fun, inexpensive to shoot range gun. It has a Shockwave blade "stabilizer" which is pretty uncomfortable against my shoulder. I know, it's not supposed to be shot against my shoulder. What is it that makes an AR brace/stabilizer a brace/stabilizer? I've got a couple AR stocks laying around that fit fine. I always assumed braces attached differently than regular AR stocks but they don't.

I like to order stuff online when I drink, because the guy in the big brown truck shows up a few days later and it's like Christmas morning...
Mrs. Irish looks at the package and goes, "What's that?" I'm like, "I have no idea. Let's open it up." "Oh cool a tomahawk!"
She looks at me rolls her eye and shakes her head. "You're like a 15 year old boy."

Thought this was gonna be about dental braces. Nope, done spent way to much on those. Have 4 sons, all 4 needed them. My youngest is on his 2nd set.

Yea you put a regular stock and now you got an unregistered SBR. Look on palmetto state and get a SB-4 brace I understand the SBR thing but what makes a brace a brace and when does it become a stock? A lot of the braces have straps but many don't.

I always assumed braces attached differently than regular AR stocks but they don't. It kinda depends on the buffer tube as well. Pistol buffer tubes are smooth. But it's (was) legal to use a RBT (rifle buffer tube. With the RBT the sb3 is nice. With the PBT The pdw brace https://www.sb-tactical.com/product/sbpdw/ is pretty nice and allows for some adjustment. Kinda pricey. I don't really like the shockwave or fin. It was made early in the brace era. Then the sbpdw. Then folks went to the RBT and the sb3/4 was born. It's the cheaper and easiest IMO

Amazon is your best friend while drinking. I’ve never talked myself out of pushing the conformation order button while having an adult beverage or ✌️. That’s why no longer have an Amazon account
