If you're a gearhead like me, this is cool as all hell.

The Ukrainians take a piece of 6" plastic pipe from the hardware store, make wings and tail sections out of laser cut plywood, covered in plastic shrink wrap, buy an $1,100 engine and a $100 controller from Alibaba, use some plastic water bottles for fuel tanks and fly the damned things 120 miles into Russia and blow up chit.

Also cool is the 3 pieces of the tail section are all interchangeable as are the 2 wings. Makes manufacturing simpler.

If the US tried to do something like this each one would cost the taxpayers $10 million.

You would think that with all the money we have sent them that they would not have to do that.

Seems to me that the next major terrorist attack will involve drones.

Saw that the Ukrainians put a guidance/autopilot on a Cessna 172 lookinh plane and flew it into a Russian factory recently

With $160,000,000,000 why not just 3D print them?

The A-22 is the one that resembles a Cessna. Called the E-300 Enterprise. Has a range of over 1900 miles and can carry over 650 lbs of explosives. The AI software allows the drone to fly a path without ground guidance. It seems Russian air defenses are concentrated along the border with Ukraine and surrounding Moscow. Once you get past the border, the drone usually reaches it target without detection. When Putin illegally invaded Ukraine, the idea of Ukrainian drones attacking deep inside Russia was never considered. Then again, Putin believed he could defeat Ukraine in seven days or less.

This is a foreign policy disaster from which both Russia and China will emerge stronger and the United States and NATO much weaker. Ukraine is losing. Instead of thinking a PVC drone is cool you should be thinking about how that is not going to win.

China is now helping Russia expand it's military industrial base. Their ties have grown stronger and stronger. AND - Our Allies are socialist European countries concerned with Climate Change.

This is a complete Disaster of epic proportion.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I don't believe that Russia OR Ukraine want to win this war. Russia is using it to deplete US weapons reserves and money. Ukraine is in it for the money. Fk both of them.

My first thought was...

"Listen up Igor. Here's $2000 of American taxpayer money. Take this and go online to Temu and go down to Home Depot and spend it wisely. We need some stuff to build a drone with to kill Russians"
