Do you go 12x52 or 10x42. They’ll be used in a Mix of gas lines and 150 yard long fields

If you are not walking with them; 12x52. I use 12x50 Pentax DCF SP for those situations

10x42. I can’t imagine toting anything larger to be much of a benefit

Are you going to have a tripod to hold those 12’s from shaking?

never had a problem holding 12x steady sitting in a shooting house. It's really not that much different than 10 in that situation.

10x or even 8x…since I’m not always in a shooting house and 42 does better in low light at 8x than a 10x42 or 12x50….easier to carry, easier to hold. JMO. Heck, I have more 6x binos than anything else, for east of the MS.
