As the title states, going to the Keys again. For those that know the places, where are your go to places to eat and things to do. I’ve been a few times, the only thing I really enjoy is the float plane to the Dry Tortugas. I’ve got a few places I like to eat from Key Largo to Key West. We will be spending most of our nights on Duck Key, but will drive as we want. I’ve done a lot of tourist stuff, now, this is a relaxing trip for the wife. For those that don’t know, don’t go to the Keys for the beaches, you’ll be sadly wanting more.
I’m just looking for something more. I do remember a little house/restaurant about a block from Hemingway’s house that had a good breakfast and relatively quiet. I’m not a drinker, bars are out. The Cuban coffee truck/stand is my wife’s favorite. There are a couple places in the middle area for breakfast, the grill next to the 7 mile bridge, etc.

last time I was there, years ago, the only beach I saw was a nude beach at KeyWest. Used to go almost every year to fish.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

the grill next to the 7 mile bridge, This is probably our favorite place to eat. We go to Marathon almost every year. If you have kids, the aquarium in Marathon is pretty good. My son likes to go there.

My son likes to go there. It isn’t as good as it used to be as far as the food. Sunset G is mainly for tourists. Florida Keys Steak and Lobster house https://flkeyssteakandlobster.com/ Castaway https://castawayfloridakeys.com/. and Key Colony Inn https://kcinn.com/ have better food. I have a home in Marathon so I’m giving you a local perspective for good food.

There is another place we go that was recommended by a friend of the family that lives in Key Largo. Burdines Waterfront is the name and it was pretty dang good. It is at the end of 15th Street.

There are some quite nice beaches and places to hang out, but the best day and night we had was hanging out with a bunch of red necks that all showed up to this secret swimming hole that we found. By the end of the day we were all like family and had a blast. We built a diving board made from a scaffold board that was on one of the guys work vans. Fortunately none of us were killed. That was a great place to swim, hangout, drink beer and hang with some chill people. Before that night we only knew two of the other people in that picture. That's the two people just to the right of me towards the end of the scaffold board. I don't know the dude in the water. Mrs. Irish is the one in the blue swim shirt and hat holding up the peace sign over one of the stripper's heads. She was a fun gal and really a nice person. Go to Google Maps and Google Ramrod Key, then look on the north side of the island and find a little rectangle cut into the island. That was the place we were having a party. We went there to see the sunset, and has the pace to ourselves until folks started showing up about quitting time and next thing you know folks were passing things around. Not sure if you have kids with you are not, but maybe not a place for the kiddies. Construction workers, bartenders, servers, strippers, etc... Were all there. We had a blast.

wish I could go back to Alabama Jack's tomorrow and load up on conk fritters. damn Them fritters are good! Ate a bunch when I was down there in the 80's. Duval street was where we hung out.
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I do not like those fritters. I guess they won’t ask me to join the republic.

Ate at Ballyhoo’s Key Largo last night, it was right across the street from where we stayed, easy peazy, but just so so. The wife was tired from the drive and didn’t want to go anywhere, but I needed something to eat. Well …
