Going back to my roots wanting to start to freshwater fish again and am leaning towards stick steer, I am not a Tracker fan and seem to like the AllWeld boats, anybody have one and what do you think

I’ve had a 17’ Alweld for over 25 years and it has been great. Every riveted boat I had before it leaked or had some other problem. Don’t think you will go wrong with an Alweld brand boat.

You might check Rhino Boats out. They're in Hartford, Al. If they don't have a model you like, they can do a custom build for you. https://www.rhinoboat.com/

Mine is a G3 and I don't have any complaints about it. Seems to me that nearly all the major manufacturers make a solid SS boat these days. I was going to get a custom boat from Xtreme Boats in Bonifay, FL, but I found this one used and it was 1/3 the price of a new one. The custom boat was gonna be about the same price as a production boat, and they were going to make it exactly like I wanted.

If I were getting a new one, I'd definitely want the livewell on one side instead of in the middle of the boat. It's really hard to walk around that center livewell.

I'd love to have a stick steer for crappie fishing

We will burn that bridge when we get there

I know this isn't at all what you are looking for, but I am about to put a 2013 Bass Tracker 175 on the market. It has a 75 Optimax, WITH ONLY 11.9 hours. It's like new!

Pretty much plane factory stuff. The console has a lowrance Elite 4 with GPS. Everything else is stock . It will be in the classifieds in 10 minutes.

If I could get any stick steer boat I wanted I'd get a potter built. They are very good quality and can be made anyway you want and for me their built only about 30 minutes from my house so if I ever did have an issue or needed a repair they are not far.

My uncle has one of those and it's a very nice boat. I wasn't sure if they were still in business so didn't mention them in my earlier post. They don't seem to advertise a lot and I have never found a website that tells what they offer as far as models and such.

If you search their name, it brings up older saltwater boats. Is that the same company?

As far as I know they are still in business. The last I heard they had more business than they could handle but that was a few years back. As Bull64 said Bracewell would also be a good choice.
