I had 3 phone calls to make today to set up appointments. Of the 3, I was only able to speak to someone on one of them and that was after playing the push the buttons game. The other two both required that I leave a number and the next available representative will call me back. Guess what, I've been with my phone all afternoon, which isn't like me, and not a call. The really sad part is that for one of them this is the second day they were supposed to call me back.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

I am surprised they aren't pushing you to an app. That seems to be what mine do. And I get a faster response if I send a message in rather than call.

My gastro doc sync'd up with my urology doc on the app they pushed me to use. Before long I will have 10 doctor apps.......

I punted my UAB one, just waiting on the new one to get me in. That could be entertaining.

And what is left of customer service is about to retire out, just like the rest of it did. Small business owners seem to be the only ones training (or at least trying to train) on customer service with their employees. The big ones certainly don’t seem to, anymore.

Dead on, as a small business, if I don't answer someone else will.

More people not working than working. Lots of folks retired from the workforce in the last 3-4 years. Simple math.

I don't see it that way. There are plenty of people working who just simply don't give a chit. They are rude, unhelpful and a lot of the time incompetent.

Yep, we answer the phone every time it rings or return phone calls ASAP. And those people answering and dealing with our customers better be pleasant, respectful and helpful to them.

It’s amazing how far simply answering the phone, being a good person and doing an honest job will carry a business now a days.

Young generation hates work - they even admit it. Will america that was built on hard work be America in 10 years? Doubt it - all the old guys that know how to work and willing to work retiring

Now there some math for ya!! 😀

I've always trained my folks to Smile when they answer the phone. The customer can hear that smile.

I really like that. I hired a new CSR a few hours ago. I'll be sure to tell her that on day one

There’s when customer service craped out. It had gotten bad but that was it.

Yes customer service is terrible now. You can hardly offer money for folks to show up at your house to perform work already agreed upon. Unfortunately though, customers also have gone down hill …many changes requested but want it yesterday and for free. Or non responsive and leave you stuck with a custom item that is unpaid for.

I had one of those millennial turds get rude with me a while back. The unedited ass chewing I gave him seemed to help his attitude....
