My son had them when he was 28.

I had a mild case on the left side of my face about 10 years ago. It almost got into my eye. Got the vaccine here recently. The second booster whipped my ass the day after.

Im like Fred on vaccines but I seen what that crap can do, I took both vaccines and didnt have any issues. Hopefully, Ill never have it.

Vaccinate you wont regret it! Once you see someone suffer you will get it

I've had shingles twice, both during hunting season. One was not bad, the other was much more unpleasant, but I've seen worse. A guy I worked with had them on his face and eye. As in, in his eye. That had to be miserable. I asked my Dr. if I could get them again and when he said yes, I went and got the Vax. I really don't want them again. If you decide not to vax and get them, you'll regret your decision. After all, they are a form of Herpes.

I first had it at 48 & again a year later. Thankfully mild cases both times

I'm curious why you got the vax if you have had shingles already. Seems like you would have antibodies.

I had awful chicken pox when I was a kid. I had chicken pox on top of chicken pox. My old doc would put me on valtrex if she thought I showed any sign of shingles. I took that once and asked for a different antiviral. It was terrible on my system. She gave me acyclovir the next time, and it wasn't as rough.

My issue now and have you noticed, they want you to take 2 shots for a vax. What else was just 2 shots? COVID.. how do you know they aren't putting that in it?


Here me say this, they want everyone to damn sure take the COVID vax, and there is a reason. If you don't think they wouldn't put it in another vax to get it in your system, then you aren't paying attention.

I had them when I was in my mid 20s hurt like hell and was miserable for a while. I was ate up with it. I still have rashes show up on my back and sides and legs but it’s nothing bad compared to what it was when I had them

Ya'll scaring the heck out of me with this shingles stuff! I had the chicken pox when I was young. Not any shots for shingles yet. Guess I need to get 'em too. 68 next month and I'm not as tough as I was long ago.

That's not how it works. Don't know why, but it doesn't. If that were the case you wouldn't get Shingles twice, but you can get it multiple times.

Had them last year at 42 and it was a miserable 4-5 weeks. Insurance did may for my vaccine since it was recommended by a doctor. The vaccine was the worst two shots I’ve ever had.

I just turned 54.




What does the shot do to you?

Vaccine gave me flu like symptoms.

I got them in my early 30’s it was miserable. Working in a shop in middle of summer made it even worse.

My wife is just getting over a bad case, head to toe.
