What a joke. I bet there was more $ in investigation cost than that. Hoover PD said cost was in the 50K range. Judge should have required her to tell where she was, who she was with and what she was doing for leniency in sentence. I'm sure others were involved and she's keeping her mouth shut. She should have been forced to keep it shut in the pen.

If there's a GoFundMe for this, the authorities should be able to take every single dime collected from it...in addition to the $18K fine.

I don't think she'd get any help from a go fund me. Her peoples, my peoples and all the other peoples all were pissed at her. Black folk figured her story for BS from the start. Except those involved in it. Most black folk and men of all colors saw it from the start. I know I did. Now, all the white womens, they couldn't get out and look for her fast enough. They WANTED to believe it from the start. Not sure why they're so fascinated with obductions, but they are. Once they figured out they were scammed, this little POS didn't have anyone but her immediate family and a few friends who stood by her. As it should be.
Mom and dad will pay the fine. But I'd bet the jail appeal doesn't get overturned.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.
