Truck is packed and checking my son out at noon tomorrow heading to the camp. Weather doesn’t look good Saturday morning but we are both fired up Sunday ought to be a fine morning. I’m pretty excited. My youngest daughter will be on her first hunt. Out of 3 girls, she’s the only one to show an interest in hanging out with me over momma. Hopefully we can get her on one.

My 7yo daughter has said she wants to go. I have the .410 ready to go, put a ground blind up 2 days ago (I hate those things but it's the only chance I will have with her). Wish us luck. My 12 yo son has a baseball game Saturday at 10 am, he has to be there early so he can't go. My daughter and I will get there about the time the game starts.

I listened this morning and heard zero gobbles, maybe tomorrow will be better.

I don't like special seasons and feel like paying members of clubs and private places should get to hunt before any kid does. So we always wait to hunt until the season opens for everyone and let others have first choice of areas etc. Youth season is the entire season! Good luck to any who get out there this weekend though, take a thermacell and permetherin makes kids sit much more still when they are not getting eaten by bugs.

GomerJr wants to go....he's got baseball all morning tomorrow though, and we're supposed to help do some setup stuff at church Sat afternoon for a Palm Sunday event we're doing, so not sure how much time we're gonna get in the woods.

For me it is nice to be able to put all the focus on the youth. Most of them are not going to hunt in bad weather, sit for hours being still or crawl up on a turkey. They often move at the worst time, don't see the gobbler or when they do it is too late. When it comes together it is awesome!!!!

If knowed a feller was tryin to kill his youngan a turkey..i wouldnt hunt BECAUSE of that…dang a feller an his money..ill hunt public til the little fell kills him one..i dont need a dang private land no way..

Looks like I’m takin two with me to the CLUB. His dad is my best friend and has been in the club just as long as me! He promised one son to fish the next tournament so the oldest will be with me.. brings back some great memories..

I love it, my little boy is only 6mo old..so hes a little fat mush ball…but we are patient🤠
