I don’t know how much of what I’m about to tell is BS but this is what I was told. I have dealings with a steel contractor occasionally that works all over the country. I was talking to a couple of their guys yesterday and they told me they had just gotten back from doing a job in New York City. One of their iron workers accidentally left his pistol in the hotel room when they checked out and didn’t even realize it till they were nearly home. Apparently the maid found it, and being the fine communist state NYC is, she called the cops. The next day, the cops contact the owner of the firearm, back home in Alabama, and told him he broke the law by bringing the firearm to New York City and told him they want him to return to New York City and turn himself in. . I asked what was his response. The guys said he didn’t know what to do but they suggested he tell them to get bent and just not go back. I thought the Supreme Court ruled you could have a firearm in NYC.

Wait, how did they know the firearm belonged to him? I thought the FBI didn't keep records?

That reminds me of the youtuber who posted a video if himself riding a crotch rocket in excess of 150 MPH in Colorado. He lives in TX. Colorado put a warrant out for his arrest and invited him to turn himself in. LOL!!

Name on the hotel registration for his room. Said he left it in the room.

I didn't think you couldn't have one in NY, just that you couldn't conceal carry. If it was in the room, it wasn't concealed. Technically the maid stole it and they received stolen goods. HMM..

Tell them yuo sold it to one of the asylum seekers to defend themselves with. Say you had heard the ultra maga white supremicists were out to do the asylum seekers harm and you were concerned for his safety.

Better call a lawyer. Just ignoring it won't work. He will have a warrant sworn out and they will find him when he gets some stupid traffic ticket.

Heres an even better story. You had picked up a asylum seeker hitch hiking, trying to get to New York, where his family was. The evil white supremisist ultra magas had beat him up and robbed him several times from the border to where ever you picked him up, somewhere in illinois would be my guess. You give him the pistola in illinois, knowing he would need protection from other radical right wing nationalists. You stayed in NY with him helping him find his misplaced family. After reunitingthem you go back home. Cant understand for the life of me why Fernando would leave his gun behind.

I used to have to travel to NYC on business.

Every time I was there, I made an effort to look and be sure that I didn't leave anything, cause I damn sure didn't want a reason to go back.

If you don't have a choice and have to go, eat dinner at Peter Luger's, the steakhouse in Brooklyn. I always considered that my reward for being a good employee and going instead of saying "Hell No!". Certainly brightens a trip, but I wouldn't go back up there now if they fed me free for a week.
