Don't watch CNN so tell us. Is it some lbgtqy book issue? Yes. Let's see if I can get it right. There were some books that were available that were geared to the mentally deranged crowd that are explicit in nature. The supporters of the explicit books didn't see a problem. Some parents took exception to these books and they asked that they be removed. The library moved them to the adult/young adult section. The supporters didn't like them being moved. The parents wanted them removed completely. The first library director resigned...new one hired by the Autauga County Commissioners. The new director didn't see a problem with the books. The ACC lawyer sent the new director an email about it. The director shared the email with a reporter in violation of the law according to the ACC lawyer. The ACC fired the new director. The new director claimed that he wasn't told he couldn't share the email. The employees of the library locked the doors in protest. The ACC fired the 4 employees...2 were reinstated after changing their opinion of their stance. The director goes on CNN to be interviewed by their reporter that is from Prattville. Some people on both sides are losing their minds. This is my synopsis of events and it's probably not exactly right...but I haven't really been keeping up with the details. Most people thought it had been resolved until the firing. I think the city wants the property to make more parking for the football stadium. LOL!

They could just close the library all together. The city is not required to have a library. Its not generating revenue. When was the last time people or businesses had "public library" on their list of requirements for going to a new city? Is that not the real purpose of a public library? Back before the internet it really was, nowadays...not so much.

Yeah because Fooseball, is WAY more Important than Reading. I think they had planned to move the library to the former kindergarten building which was the original high school.

so where did the books end up? They say that they were put somewhere that only adults/young adults could access them but I really don’t know.

Check out the books and don't bring them back. When they buy new ones have someone do the same

Try to keep kids away from it, Nooooooo, they want them all indoctrinated just like the TV shows. It is all about making stuff that we don’t want for our kids to become normalized. It’s on everything including cartoons, video games for youngsters, etc. It is getting hard on these kids and millennials are getting worse and worse even those in church, because it is so pervasive. This stuff is worse than Chinese privet or kudzu.
