I have a brutal case of sciatica just in time for turkey season. I can barely sleep, hurts to walk, sit, etc…. Anyone dealt with this and want to share your remedies?? Do I need to contact a chiropractor, ortho, primary physician, etc…??

I have had it bad for the last 3 months. Three bulging disc is what has mine going right now. Sitting is what bothers me the worst. Went and got ESI injections last week, still no relief! The only thing that helps mine is Voltaren. I missed a dose Saturday evening and have paid for it since.

I take Celebrex daily for arthritis and bulging discs in my lower back. I’ve been back and forth with meloxicam and Celebrex. If I don’t take it daily mine is so bad I can’t function or sleep. It’s manageable with prescription NSAIDs. Rest and figuring out what inflames it so you can avoid that is the best thing you can do.

X2 on ibuprofen and chiropractor. I go to my chiropractor every 3-4 weeks and he has really done me some good. I use an ice pack on my lower back on the real bad days and that seems to help as well.

Hey Peach, Sorry to hear it. I have been dealing with it for over 25 years. I have 3 ruptured disc and the sciatic pain runs down my legs. I have done everything from injections to pain killers' chiropractors etc. Pain killers really didn't help me. The only drug that really helps is Gabapentin. I take 3 pills in the morning (300mg each) then one at noon and one around 7 or 8.

Chiropractors were ok for a little relief. The one in Prattville uses something called K laser. It is a laser that really helped loosen my muscles around the spin which gave me a good bit of relief. I hope you get better soon.

Think that helped mine the most is an inversion rack. Stretch out the back and let things fall back into place. I'll usually hit it for about 5 minutes a couple times a day.

I agree with this. My back feels like it's compressed and when it gets real bad I'll go get in one of these a few times and it really helps. I'm alittle more sore the day after but by the 3rd time I use it I can really tell a difference

Sleep in the floor. Go to a chiropractor and make sure they take a X-ray of your back before twisting you. An inversion table worked wonders for me. Stop drinking beer! Something in it causes my joints to flare up.

Using a foam roller had big a big help for my lower back
It hurts at first but gives me pretty quick relief.

A lot of people have good results with those common massager electric screwdriver looking things you see at Walmart.

Stretching!!! Inversion table. Chiropractor usually helps mine after 1 visit. And Motrin.
