None of the committees except for football, like the sec. Ever notice that the softball, and baseball brackets are always made up with sec teams all on one side. And football is really not sec friendly just made to get Bama in at all costs.

FYI - Auburn is #7 in the final coaches poll.

Cause Byrne knew that if Auburn run across UCONN’s path they would get bounced out of The Big Dance! 😂

The way Auburn is currently playing ball, I believe they would beat UConn. At least if they played the Auburn team I watched the last two games. They are hitting on all cylinders. They have all the tools from Point to Center, with depth at each position off the bench. They are going to go far. Might even win it. The 64 tournament is hard to beat and one of the most exciting things in sports today. I love it.

March madness is the best but have you even seen UConn play? And I mean more than one game. UConn is a beast. Auburn relies strictly on the 3 to win games. They have nothing else. Broome can’t score against a quality big man. Hopefully AU wins but I doubt it.

I agree that Auburn can't play with UConn but you haven't watched Auburn play if you think they win with the 3. They are well below average outside the arc and pounding it inside is how they get it done. Auburn is probably a top 3 team defensively but their guards aren't very good offensively. Broome only has a tough time against the teams that double him and dare the guards to beat them.

Auburn can definitely beat UCONN if they meet since that is what is so great about The Big Dance- It is just a 1 game season each and every game. If Auburn gets Hot and UCONN is Ice cold then Auburn will likely win and the Auburn fans can pound their chest about how great their team is.

I have not seen UConn play. From what I understand they are very good. I have seen Auburn play, they have their weaknesses, but they are good enough on any given day to beat anyone in the field of 64. On the flip side; if they don’t play well they could loose to anyone in the field of 64.

Auburn (if on) can absolutely beat UConn.

Gotta get there first, then we can worry about it.

On a good night, I think Auburn could beat UConn. But they tend to rely on the 3 ball too much.

Bama sadly will probably get bounced early. No defense.

Bama could go either way. They Got good coach - would not shock me if they won some or made a run

AU should do good - but they would get ucon at sweet 16 - ucon incredible. And it would not shock me if they got bumped in first 2 games - but my gut says they will do good - need to play super great to beat ucon - ucon just bettr than AU

I’ve watched auburn play plenty this year. Broome can’t play against a physical big man. And auburn shoots a lot of 3’s. When KD is in the game he’s good for at least 5 or 6 shots. He might make 1. When they play against a physical team all they look for is 3’s cause Broome is a whiny titty baby who complains about everything that touches him. I’m an auburn football fan but not an auburn basketball fan. But that has nothing to do with my critique of their team. They’re good. But I don’t think they’re close to UConn good.

Auburn is ranked 114th in the country in 3 point percentage and 116th in 3 point fg's made. They wouldn't be in the tournament at all if that was what they relied on to win games.

A few years back they were ranked like 250 in nation in 3’s taken. Pearl didn’t like that so he went after shooters. He loves the three and it’s a huge part of his game plan. You do realize there are over 350 D1 basketball teams right? So they are in the top third.

AU's guards shooting threes are like the rest of the team as a whole. When they are on, they are hard to stop, but we have also seen that they can be the most bipolar team around. We'll just have to tune in on Friday afternoon to see which team will show up. One of the reasons their depth is so valuable is that if a starter is having a bad night, we can put in one of the next 5 off of the bench and hopefully, they will be on. If not, then it can be a long game. KD Johnson is a perfect example. He can be our best guard some nights and not so great others. One thing that you can never take away from him though is how he hustles. He wears me out just watching him. Then there is Dylan Cardwell. Having him available off the bench allows Broome to play a little more aggressively on defense. If Broome gets in foul trouble, in goes Caldwell without too big of a drop off.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

The sec tourney au pounded in the paint more than i seen all season - were very strong inside

We will see how tourney goes. Ucon is exceptional - very tough bracket. Some of the 3s could hav been 1 or 2 seed - faiu or whatever there name is was n final 4 last year

March madness is usually unpredictable - enjoy watching

Right. There are only around 113 teams that shoot more 3s than Auburn.
