This is some neat video footage of a Kansas tornado. Unfortunately some folks did not survive this one. https://twitter.com/MarioNawfal/status/1768642211191656787

It's hard to fathom that kind of wind speed and damage

i think that footage is old
I'm pretty sure I watched that same footage a year ago

Just went and looked at last years footage, definitely the same.

it was an interesting one though

Morbidly fascinating...

It's interesting to see how it kind of gets sucked down to the ground for a second and the releases, moves very fast for a few hundred feet and then gets sucked down again, and then repeats. I guess it kind of gets attached to all that debris is sucking up and it slows it down for a second or two.

Talk about "The Finger of God" buddy that's it in a nutshell.

In daylight and not wrapped in rain. Good footage.

I say the same thing as everybody else about it appearing like they get sucked down to the ground, but actually the vortex is being pushed down from above and the sides. Because the downward force is so strong the air is pushed back-up along the sides of the vortex with the same amount of force. So if you think about how strong those winds are, think about how much force is actually being pushed down to make the air do that.

Yep, I stayed up way past my bed time last night watching the storm chasers live stream on YouTube.
