All good points I feed them at church every Tuesday night during the winter give them a place to sleep and a good breakfast on Wednesday morning used to be enough churches to do it every night down to only three now willing to do it. Some of them take the helping hand and pull themselves up and get a job. Seen on the police report this morning one got busted for serious drugs yesterday. If you help one you have done what the Lord expects of us. But I got to go right now but the first chapter of Roman’s needs to be studied before you answer

I think the point is helping the persons need, not supporting their sin. If you based not helping someone because they are a sinner. Nobody would get helped. Id be willing to feed and cloth a homosexual, but Id never give money for a homosexual to marry. There is a big difference. The problem in today’s world is deceit. I see a lot of people (that honestly appear needed) but use that money for alcohol or drugs. I guess it’s a personal call. I was working a job on the side of the road one time and a homeless looking guy had a women and child on the side of the road with a sign asking for money. I approached the man and told him I take him, the women and child to a nearby Waffle House and feed them. That dude looked and me and said “get lost, I can make more money here in an hour than a waffle” Im sure a lot of people truly needing money are passed over because of this kind of deceit.

I totally agree. If they were asking for money to get married I would pass I believe. Unless the Holy Spirit just impresses it on me. If I feel led to help someone, what they use the help for is on them. Obedience to the Holy Spirit is on me.

Not to be argumentative but, explain to me the difference between “asking for money to get married and them already being married”, if the asking is wrong then isn’t the married wrong?

The marriage is wrong no doubt. The reprobate part is deep

So I think the difference would be in what they were asking the money to be for. Giving money to someone to help them commit sin, and giving money to someone who is living in sin seems different to me. I got a pea brain though so I’ve been wrong before lol

If they are friends, then they are friends, right? Jesus didn't surround himself with Christians. He surrounded himself with sinners and converted them to christians. If I had the money to give, I'd give and tell them I prayed about it and felt that's what Jesus directed me to do. If I didn't have money to give, why would I concern myself with their personal situation?
One thing is certain. There is zero chance they find salvation if you do nothing. If you do nothing because you judged others, that's a sin too.

Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Read the first chapter of Romans and decipher it. I know what I have read about it. I don’t have it nailed down 100 % don’t think I do. But there is that reprobate phrase put in there that I don’t quite understand. That might mean what some people think it does. If they honestly believe that then I would shake the dust off my feet and move on with my money. Because they could be right
