A lot of folks do not know this but refined sugar/carbs when its processed through the pancreas an enzyme is created that stimulates hunger.
It takes a while for a lot of people to get over that addiction cycle (get the rush from sugar, then hunger, then eat more and the hunger stops, rinse-repeat).

Could you meal prep on the weekends and just heat up your dinner? Not ideal to eat “leftovers” every meal during the week, but it may work for you.

That is exactly right skinny. And it can lead to insulin resistance. My biggest problem is I love to eat. I tend to live to eat instead of eating to live. I love to cook. And I don’t cook healthy. But feel my best when I am on the carnivore diet. It’s amazing how much diet affects other aspects of your life.

At the end of 30 days, you will be building muscle lifting weights and morning wood like a teenager.

Everytime I ate a large ribeye, Mr. Pokey was wanting some loving.

Eating animal fat regulates hormones.

I am going to get back on it and go for 90 days. Beef, lamb and bison, salt and water, and unsweet tea and decalf coffee. Eat as much as you want.

Lose weight, build muscle, testosterone returns, never hungry...

My Macros are the following:
Calories - 1900g
Protein - 175g
Carbs - 125g
Fats - 64g

In order to hit 175g of protein a day, you have to eat a diet high in meat! Deer is really the best source of protein you can get. I can meet my goals with this plan and still enjoy the foods I love.

Dang... maybe need to get your thyroid checked. You should loose weight if you are on a calorie restriction, no matter how many carbs you eat. My wife lost 10lbs on the Ozempic shot last month, she getting ready for lake/river season and wants to look cute I guess. But she is eatting the same stuff but less.

It has to do with insulin resistance. That’s why your wife is losing weight and eating the same thing. Ozempic makes your pancreas make more insulin. That’s why I gain weight when I eat carbs. Unless I cut down to less than 700 calories a day I need to stay under 40 carbs. If I was to eat 1900 calories a day with 125 grams of carbs I would probably gain about 3-4 lbs a month. Maybe a little less.

I'm thinking of a diet where I don't eat anything but fried chicken fingers and chocolate ice dream.

Try it for a few months and let us know how it goes. Sounds like the kind of diet that would be easy to stick to.

As long as it’s gas station chicken fingers you would probably do ok 🤣

If you can milk it, pick it, pluck it, shoot it, catch it eat it. Two thousand calories a day and burn half of it and you’ll loose weight. Your body needs natural fats and sugars that you get in fruits and vegetables. Not processed foods high in fat and sugar.

I don’t necessarily agree. Natural sugars are just simple carbohydrates. Why would your body need that?

I do agree that sugar is not good. In any form. Processed or natural.

Well, if you’re a Christian, God said in Genesis that he gave us every plant and tree and their respective seeds for food, so that would lead us to believe we were designed to eat other things along with meat.

God said that whether you are a Christian or not.

So if he gave us every plant and seed for food, does that include the poisonous ones? The marijuana plant? No of course not. He gave us a brain to reason with as well. And I don’t think anyone has said that it is a sin to eat plants. We just choose not to because it is a healthier lifestyle for us. God doesn’t say that you have to eat plants. Not do you have to eat meat.

So yeah we are designed to eat plants. We have molars. But that doesn’t mean we have to. Your body DEFINITELY doesn’t NEED to. Unless you have some sort of abnormal deficiency that only a plant can provide.

To me, your point is like saying… well God gave us dominion over the animals. So we are designed to ride horses and plow fields with oxen. We CAN do those things. But we don’t HAVE to.

I’d argue that if God designed us to eat fruits and vegetables, our bodies probably function best including those in our diet. Can some people have better health with carnivore? Sure. But I believe most people need fruits, vegetables, carbohydrates. How many Olympic athletes only eat meat?

Do you take any vitamins or supplements?

Listen...

With any restrictive "diet" all you are doing in the short term is limiting your caloric intake. So sure you are going to lose weight.

Here's the real deal...

If you want to lose weight simply eat less calories than you expend over a period of time. The problem with that is you are losing muscle at the same time.

If you want to gain weight simply eat more calories than you expend over a period of time. The problem with that is you are gaining fat at the same time.

If you want to lose weight and maintain muscle mass you need to eat lower calories, but with higher protein and you need to lift weights.

If you want to gain weight and also gain muscle you need to eat higher calories and higher protein and you need to lift heavy weights in a rep range that encourages muscle hypertrophy.

It's a simple as that. Anyone that says anything different is selling you a bunch of bullchit and merely parroting anecdotal evidence.

Listen to me... Your body needs vegetables as well as meat (protein), healthy fats and even carbohydrates to properly function long term.

Everybody is always looking for the damned easy way out, but there is no easy way. It all requires hard work and dedication.

Yep veggies GOOD! With that said Irishguy I've been having issues with "High Iron" since last April ( been rough go honestly) so i reckon i need to leave the steak alone (had one last night 😔) but i ain't leaving Boudin (pork liver) alone! They might as well take me now 😁
