I'm 7 days in this morning and wanted to wait until this time to post anything to make sure I could do this and to track symptoms and benefits
The first 3 days were filled with a feeling of starving and lost 5 pounds going from 204 to 199
The next 3 days leveled off with feeling satisfied all day with a big meat meal mostly consisting of steak pork eggs chicken
The 5th day I developed a headache that lasted until last night and I relented and took Advil
Mental fog in the mornings is gone and my thought come sharper and clearer and the usual stumbling around trying to get my bearings after getting out of bed is gone
From what Ive read the next 7 days will see big changes and weight loss
We shall see

Not sure what the "mud butt" is but if its a common occurrence I'll be watching for it
I can say my stools have turned black and my stomach doesnt have any bloat at all

Staying away from grains and seed oil will help alot too. I cook alot of stuff in an air fryer now.

A lot of folks go through a phase where they do some epic pooping with the carnivore diet

A friend is doing that diet. If memory serves he started at 230# & is down to 148#. He looks sick at that weight IMO. Says he eats only meat, cheese, & eggs.

my idiot surgeon wanted me to lose 30+ pounds before he would perform surgery. I finally went on a 500 calories/day regimen and lost it. No white bread, no white potatoes, no coke etc, I hated it but lost weight.

I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I’ve been on a very low carb diet since 2020. Mostly meat and eggs with a little cheese. I cheat and eat a salad with blue cheese dressing once or twice a week. Time would fail me to list all the benefits I’ve experienced. I’ll never go back

So are garden veggies not good for us now either? I need to loose 30 or so but I can't see how a straight meat, egg, cheese, milk only diet is good for ya. Definitely interested in hearing the results of this.

The food pyramid was lobbied heavily by the agribusiness folks to promote their products

I’ve been poking around doing some research on this. One of my concerns is cost. With groceries being as high as they are, how do you afford all those steaks? Maybe it’s not as expensive as I think. Also, how do you keep from feeling hungry all the time?

You don’t have to eat steak every meal. I eat deer, pork, chicken, turkey, eggs and seafood. If you get off the carbs, you will rarely feel hungry, even when on an extended fast.

I started on it myself mid January. I dropped 28lbs the first month and on valentine’s I had a colonoscopy so I came off for a week or so but I’m back on it. I personally feel so much better eating this way. No bloat, more energy and my BP is better. The only downside to me is all the cooking. Working 12/14hrs a day and cooking everything you eat can be a challenge.

Yep. You won’t be hungry hardly at all. Especially if you eat twice a day. When I do it, I eat once a day. I usually do a 20/4 fast. Drink lots of water. Only black coffee, but I’ve found out that coffee makes my joints hurt a little bit once I got off of it. Cholesterol even went down just a smidge.

It can be expensive, but you usually eat less and it trades off. Chuck eye steaks are my best friend. I just look for sales and buy in bulk when I find a good deal.
