I’ve worn out more boots than most working out side in woods . I had danner, rocky, timberland , Georgia boots, Irish setter and many cheaper versions . I don’t recommend any . Still looking for boots that don t sweat in summer time and warm in summer . . Right now I wear Merrill’s non insulated lace up high top . Not really work boot but cool. When cold hard beat the rocky cornstalker 800 gram boots . Dinners are lighter but won’t last . Most any boots with the glue on bottoms won’t hold up long . I like boots with sewed on soles . Last longer .

Adding a good set of Dr. Scholl's inserts (whichever work best for you) can make uncomfortable boots your favorite boots.

Those are good, I also like Red Wings and Irish Setters. Can't go wrong with any of those.

I’ve been wearing steel toe boots for work for the last 35 years. It’s not necessarily the boot as much as it is the insole. You can always buy a high quality insole and replace what comes with the boot. Redwings will last a long time but hurt like he!! breaking them in. My personal favorites for comfort have been Justin and Ariat. I’ve worn Ariat for the past 3-4 years I guess. Comfortable but they are worn out in a year, with 5 days a week worth of wearing. Of course work buys me a new pair every year so it doesn’t matter much.

Do you prefer pull on or lace up?

I wear Double H, DH1592 pull on's most of the time.

I also wear Thorogood pull on boots.

Both are USA made and both fit my feet well.

The DH are my favorites.

Unfortunately I have WIDE feet and most off the shelf boots are too narrow. I finally found some custom boots that are GREAT. JK Boots. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion.
