It is a little cool this morning which may affect it. I'd try later on in the week when the temps are up.

Not saying much now. Heard some during deer season pop off a bit. Was helping build a house years ago and heard one burning it up Feb 28th, 28 degrees that morning too.

Today was prime time in Jackson county. Clear and 31° degrees. I love hunting turkeys on mornings like that.
Me too! The first week in mid March was always my favorite time. Gone forever now.

I don’t listen anymore. I know where they are and like to be. They may gobble today but not on opening day so… Same, I may scout a little if the woods have changed, etc. but typically not. No reason to possibly spook a bird.

Dang 247 - thats sorry on them
They did not even wait to the 15th or 20th which is still wrong anyway
Why not just spot light for deer to - same thing
I dont agree w late opener but i aint gonna outlaw it. First off i would lose all witness if i got caught.

Contractor pulled up on a couple guys in camo this morning, said they had missed one.
The locals didn’t take well to the season delay and have mostly just said, screw it. Pretty much what I said would happen here. Rookies. 😁

They are working great for the “early birds”, from what I’m being told. Bunch getting killed around here. I’ve been seeing boot tracks on woods roads pretty regular for a couple weeks - so it adds up. Contractor pulled up on a couple guys in camo this morning, said they had missed one.
