Thankfully mine stayed away from baseball. I can't imagine any sport more boring than baseball for a kid I disagree….i loved playing baseball, I hate watching baseball. It sucks for the adults

Thankfully mine stayed away from baseball. I can't imagine any sport more boring than baseball for a kid I disagree….i loved playing baseball, I hate watching baseball. It sucks for the adults Same, baseball was my favorite to play and I wasn't even particularly good...just average.

It seems weekends are for travel ball tournaments now instead of park ball. 2 games on Saturday of rec ball was where kids came together and played with other kids from the community. Kids from different economical, social, and religions backgrounds. Nothing positive about travel ball until you are around 14. And yes my son played and now my grandson played travel ball.

It seems weekends are for travel ball tournaments now instead of park ball. you are correct. travel ball will be played on sat and a majority of the time on sunday as well. 6,7,8 and 9U travel teams will most likely be one day tournaments with games starting as early as 8 AM and going well past 8pm depending on the # of teams in the tournament in each age division. My son plays travelball on a team out of Athens, AL. we travel from Shelby Co tuesdays and thursdays for practice in athens from 5p-7p tournaments are saturdays and some 2 day starting on saturday. the closest we play to us is cullman, and have several in haleywille, russelville, albertville, and some in Shelbyville TN with a big tournament in Chatanooga TN from june 6-10..
