You know what pisses me off.......we had our withholdings set well enough that we were close to even. I'd rather get a little back than owe some...but we were about as close as it could get to being even. Then, we got bought out and the new parent company treats commissions like bonuses, even though it accounts for roughly 50% of our yearly income and gets paid monthly. The parent company's policy is that bonuses get taxes withheld at a fixed percentage and you cannot change it. I've toyed with trying to change the withholding on my salary to offset it, but since the commissions can vary greatly from month to month, it's difficult to do. So now the government gets to keep more of my money before eventually giving it back, without interest of course. a--holes
