Anyone have any experience with them? I have a 7 mag on the way.

Excited to get it and see how it shoots.

Kind of on the heavy side but very accurate. Wish I had not sold mine. Let me know if you decide not to keep it.

Had one in .45-70. Put a Vernier Tang sight on it, would shoot .5 at 100. Nice gun, you will like it!

Fine rifles with some really nice woodwork. Browning made them in a good many calibers and they all seemed to shoot well.. Winchester made them for a while, after Browning quit making them. The 1885’s Winchester turned out didn’t have nearly as nice looking stock & forearms.
Bruno nailed it…. Great guns, just a little on the heavy side. Sometimes a problem finding scope mounts as the front mount is much higher then the rear one.
Your 7mag should shoot well. And its weight will soak up some of that kick.
Let us know how it works out for you.

I have a semi-custom Browning B78 in .257 Wby Mag; it's a beautiful rifle and a laser. I used S&K polished blue scope mounts; not cheap but look great.

I have the B78 version 25-06 its absolutely beautifule with the octagon barrel ....ebay and gun broker is where I have seen the best luck finding scope bases. I've been considering letting mine go hear lately just hard time pull that trigger cause of the beauty of the rifle. Your 7mag will be a fine rifle! When you pick it show some pictures of you can.

The good news, it comes with rings and bases. The negative is that someone had installed a brake.

Not a deal breaker for me obviously but will hurt the collector audience.

Here is a link to pictures from the seller.

Let me know if you decide to list. I’ve been wanting a 25.06.

I would take that break off; if it was mine.

Yea, I’m thinking about it. Gonna scope and shoot it first.

Mine is an old school type Cimarron 1885 Hi Wall in 45-70. Long octagon bbl. I put a globe front and old school original #2 tang peep on it. Not had an opportunity to ring it out yet. I got is in lieu of a Sharps and it is considered stronger than the Sharps action - which is something...

Got her in today. Man, she is nice!

A little heavy as mentioned, but that might be appreciated in a 7 mag.

I am not sure I could take that out in the woods, I'd be afraid to put a scratch on it.
