Anyone posted the Amendment guide?

I love the rut. The woods are like a bunch of roided up meatheads fighting over a girl.

WHNT news only showed one amendment:
What is Proposed Statewide Amendment One?
There is one statewide proposed constitutional amendment on the ballot for the March primary. It deals with when certain bills are allowed to be introduced in the legislature.

This is how Amendment One reads on the ballot:

“Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of Alabama of 2022, to amend Section 71.01 authorizing the Legislature to sign and transmit local laws or constitutional amendments before the transmission of basic appropriations.”

Former Alabama House Speaker Mac McCutcheon said that when the legislature deals with local legislation, generally involving one county or area, the local delegation is given the courtesy to handle their own bill. The current rules complicate that, he said.

To sum it up, right now, local bills and amendments need approval just to be voted on, by three-fifths of the entire House or Senate body. Amendment One would eliminate that need when it comes to local bills.

I'm on the fence on this one. At 1st my thought was NO because it would allow local legislations to slide things in that are not in the best interest of the State. However usually these things pass on state votes anyways because one Legislator gets their "buddies" to make sure we get this on ballot and I will return the favor and scratch your back when needed. This could help free up time and money for matters more pressing to the State legislature.
Example: If Alabama town/county X wants to rezone for a new landfill or whatever, then I say let their people vote on it on the local level. It is not pertinent to me.

I’m voting NO. Last thing we need is another amendment to the constitution. Think it’s already been amended about 2000 times.

Vote no if you want to make sure that it takes 2/3rd to pass a local law like tax increases and so forth.

Or

Vote yes if you want them to be able to pass local stuff with a simple majority of 51%.

No, the longer it takes any politician to bypass the requirements for voting on the budget before other matters the better. It would be nice if they took care of things as prescribed instead as it’s convenient to their whims.

We voted No also, didn’t want to give them a green light to bypass procedures when they already have a go around.

I thought there was a "home rule" amendment passed 20 years ago?
