Has anyone had any experience with a Lab tearing his CCL (ACL). My lab has been limping a little the last few weeks. I took him to the vet and he thinks his CCL is partially torn. He says its just a matter of time before he tears it the rest of the way. Surgery looks expense but he is my buddy, and I will do whatever it takes.

My brothers lab tore hers. Hunting retriever Champion and therapy dog. True family member. Took her to Auburn for the surgery and recovery. Yes he could have bought a nice sxs for what he has in the bills. Very worth it to him.

Had one years ago that did. Had surgery performed at what was Little's Animal Clinic in Cullman for 1/2 price as everyone else. He continued to retrieve ducks many years after the surgery.

My lab has had both of Her's done. They were a several years apart, but basically, they were $3000 each. It sure did hurt my budget but she is part of the family.
