I have 2 of those Taylor bog disc also. They will cut some dirt. Can find them from $750-1250. They arent very common used. I see 2-3 a yr for sale. They made a 10 disc and a wider 12.
The pan plow, the bog disk, and a chisel plow are must haves for me and food plots with my tractor. The pan plow doesnt get used much but the other two do along with a subsoiler.

Just use a regular disc like was said before and in a year or so, they’ll be gone. What are you needing to plow so deep for? Only thing that you need to plow deep for is corn. Most other seed will come up as long as there is good soil contact. I sowed soybeans after discing new ground and made quite a crop. I agree , just make sure your disc is heavy enough for what you might encounter. Deep plowing in the woods can often plow up surprises .

Two roads diverged in the woods and I took the one with deep ruts, hills and mud.It may be bumpy but WHAT A RIDE!

I agree , just make sure your disc is heavy enough for what you might encounter. Deep plowing in the woods can often plow up surprises . I've got a very heavy and very well made Tuffline disc, but I would not wanna use it for what the OP wants. No matter how well made a disc might be, the blades are the most vulnerable part and intentionally running over stumps is going to bust a bunch of them. The blades on the discplow are much thicker and the way they will hit the stumps at an angle give them a better chance of surviving. It's also way more effective than a regular disc at breaking up roots. That's great info you guys shared on the bog disc; I have no experience with them but it looks effective. I mainly bought the discplow for firelanes, but afterwards I got a heavy rear hyd blade and I use it for them now. I have several fields with hard pans in them, and about the only thing I use the discplow for now is to break them. Mine is hard to keep adjusted due to having a lot of different soil types, but it will move some dirt. I would rather use a moldboard plow in clean fields, but there is a limit to how much I am willing to spend on a project that makes no money.
