Not sure but also interested. My wife got hacked this week. Her facebook account. They also got into her bank account and stole some money. She actually emailed back and forth with the hacker at one point. He had shut her facebook page down because he had changed her age on her profile. She qas too young to have facebook so they suspended her account. Was also using her info somehow to peddle child pornography. She called the sherrifs office and filed a report to get ahead of this. She had filed a petition trying to get the dumping of human waste on farm land stopped in blount county. About a week later was when the hacking began. A woman she has been getting advice from told her when she started her petition a year or so ago, she had two computers crash because of hackers. Crazy world were living in. You might look up "Nord" i think is the name of it. They do VPNs

- I use Identity Guard to monitor all three credit reporting agencies, public records, credit usage and credit scores
- Monitor bank account and credit activity daily and immediately report any questionable transactions
- Don’t click on any link in an e-mail that you don’t recognize or are expecting
- Don’t use public, unsecured WIFI
- Change passwords regularly on a secure device
- Use and update a reputable virus protection
- Don’t ever rely on payment instructions contained in an e-mail. Always, always verify directly with the individual
- If you are selling/buying something online through FB marketplace and other similar platforms and the offer is too good to be true, it is.

TRE Racing Enginea got hit for 145k. They build promod drag racing engines in Texas. Few Saturdays ago, shop owner verified the $145k in the shop account, buyer sends hotshot driver. Driver left with 2 brand new fully assembled promod engines on the same Saturday just a couple hours after money was verified. Sunday another driver picks up the new transmission and converter... Monday the bank calls to notify. Customers lost big time unless insurance paid. These were engines on consignment.
Hotshot driver was innocent, they can't id scammer.

Red flag was sending hotshot drivers.

I've got it through Equifax.

It is freeto put a freeze on your credit at Experian, Equifax and Transunion. I put a temporary thaw when I need to apply for something. So far ive had no issues. I did have an issue using my card in alex city and getting it scammed at a bunch of attempts between there and Leeds. All but two were denied and my credit union instantly refunded my money.
