I've owned an Echo weedeater and it was a good one but wanted some info on their saws. Harder to get parts for if needed, etc. Any Echo chainsaw owners out there ? I would go with a Stihl but a local pawn shop has a couple of mid to mid / large chainsaws that look to be in good shape for cheap.

The are good-to-go. They only make 1 type of saw. Stihl makes 2 types.... the POS type and the professional models.

I’ve liked mine and had zero problems.

It concerned me when I saw that Home Depot carried some. This is good to know.

I think it was a CS-370 a friend had, vibrated and didn't have the umph my Stihl CS-250 had when I had an opportunity to use both on a large red oak that was down on our lease. Both 18" bars not sure on their CCs though.
I have Echo weedeaters, edger combo I love, just seems to me the Stihl runs a little more efficiently.

Older Stihl are gold though compared to NEW

I have a model CS-305. I think its got a 14 inch bar. Great for trimming etc because its lite. It must be at least 18 years old. My dad bought it. I went through it a few months ago and replaced the fuel lines, filters and prime bulb. It runs great. I think they make good saws.

I have three, four if you count the power pruner I got in 2000 and still use regularly. Had a 10-12 year old CS-400 stolen several years ago. Currently have a CS-450p which is my workhorse. Also a 550 Timberwolf that I keep a full chisel chain on for bigger tree felling. Recently got a little 310 which is nice and light for small brush and light work. It isn’t as powerful though. I’ve had no trouble with any of them. I run all echo with my lawn business. I tried Stihl years ago but they were always down for maintenance that Echo just didn’t require.

I have a Stihl 180 and a Stihl 250. I used them both on a 6-day job. The person I worked for lent me their brand new Echo. I couldn't keep it running for very long because the diaphram was so dry.

I’ve got the CS-590 Timberwolf with a 20 inch bar that’s a beast. Cranks up good and runs til the gas is dry.

We bought two of the battery ones at the fire dept. I was impressed. I wouldn't want that for big jobs but for getting trees out of the road it does well.

They have 3 Echo saws. A 370, a 450, and a 490. I'm looking at the 370. But may end up with the 450 if the price is right. Running big saws is something I try to steer clear of when I can.

I bought one the day Sally hit in 2020 and drove home to Summerdale from Auburn and met my parents in the drive way and cut my way to them with it, never missed a lick since then and use it often. Never had any problems with it at all.

I got the long pole saw battery echo from tucker atv in jackson. After 3 years the battery went out. Took back to tucker / shannon and did not know it had 5 year warranty - he handed me a new battery for no charge. I like mine - no issues
