I manage a bunch of land in the area. That particular area is going to be eat up with hogs for starters. The deer numbers are good, not great. The genetics - probably the same - good, not exceptional. But a freak or two will be killed periodically. The locals - well - that will depend on the exact location. Could be ok, and could be really bad. Spot on advice

Send Sluggun a PM. He lives in that area.

I had land just north of Pine Hill. Poachers were a big problem.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

I had land just north of Pine Hill. Poachers were a big problem. That would be my biggest concern there.

I know 2 people who have properties east of Hwy 5 and South of Hwy 10 that have no issues.
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

I know 2 people who have properties east of Hwy 5 and South of Hwy 10 that have no issues. That’s a decent area. Bigger timberland ownership. Less houses. And just far enough away from Lower Peachtree to be ok.

Could be ok, and could be really bad. Hunted near there close to Yellow Bluff for 10 years; pretty accurate description above. Exact location and security, as to poachers; is important. Most here know about the story of poachers shooting and killing a hunter 5-7 years ago in the area. My locale was safe; but frequented by owner. We had heavy deer population; occasional good one. LOT's of hogs. If close to river; be aware of flood plain.
