I’d think a hacker could probably target the carrier’s software that links their service to the tower (or something like that). I have a buddy that works for AT&T and will know what the deal is. I’ll ask him. When I heard about it this on the radio this morning my first thought was, sounds like a dry run for October or early November. If they come out and say this was caused by Chinese hackers then that will be the tell that our letter agencies are gearing up for something.

Issue is starting to resolve in certain locations. Reboot your phone and if service has been restored in your area, phone should connect with no issue. Says no official word on the cause of the issue.
