Whirlpool is a popular brand with many youtube how-to-fix videos, and available parts. Dang sure won't recommend Samsung. They probably make decent TV's, but not appliances. I have a whirlpool dryer that is more than 20 years old and still works. I won't say it dries as well as a newer one would, but, it still works. Washer is probably 10 years old.
