Tide fan here, but that is a straight up BS move.

Thank goodness. Was in the same room as that man more than once. Arrogant condescending Yankee. On the bright side Tom Seaver was avoiding Eli he and I spent 45 minutes at lunch sitting behind the waitress station talking baseball and Seaver picked up my tab with a "No thank you for letting me hide from the press."
Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

I thought Chris Stewart came in and earned the job. I’ve always loved listening to Eli and he deserves respect, but Chris Stewart was more crisp to me and brought a bit of “homer edge” that was sort of fun to listen to. Probably time for the transition to occur Agree. Eli was probably going to retire soon anyway

Tide fan here, but that is a straight up BS move. Seriously, he has earned it and probably only has a year or two left anyways let him go out in his terms. When I listen to AL football on the radio it’s because I can’t be in front of the TV not because I expect to need entertained by the commentators.

He only did home games this year, Chris Stewart had to pick up the road games and post season. I’m willing to bet they offered to let him “retire” on his own terms and he refused. I’d be very surprised if there was zero discussion beforehand.

Tide fan here, but that is a straight up BS move. Stewart pulled a Fulmer vs Majors move IMO Trolling is not needed on this one. Eli said himself that he could not do the away games last year due to accommodations needed. Chris did what was asked by his employer. He did well, just like everything he has ever done.

If you actually read the article, he says that bama made the decision to not renew him. It’s not about last year at all. I’m just joking about the coup. Stewart seems to be a good guy.

I’d be very surprised if there was zero discussion beforehand. Sounds plausible. Changing the play by play announcer when changing coaches is pretty common at both AU and UAT.

He has that distinct voice, when you hear it, you know who it is. A lot like Keith Jackson. That, to me what makes a great commentator.
Touchdown Ala-Bama!
Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.
My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.
