300 blackout suppressed out of a bolt action makes me tingle inside. Unsuppressed I would grab a 308.

What’s the deal with this caliber? Why is it so popular, why would you want it over a .308 per say? Limited range and quieter? What’s the advantages of this round? Seems to be alot of em out there. Or is a cool fad like a lot of other stuff in the outdoor world today. Aside from the subsonic thing, the 300 is just a sweetheart round. Low recoil, decent ballistics for short range work and very easy on the wallet to reload. Bulk Speer 125 TNT bullets can be had for around 15 cents a piece and loaded over 18.5 grains of H110. In a day where powder is $50+ per pound that makes a lot of sense.

How far can you shoot a coyote with one suppressed, efectively? I don't want to have to judge distance and hold over, etc. Would like one to shoot 200 yards and in suppressed, if that is possible.
