Was 205 now 198. Thats what ive lost just with change in diet. I did walk 1.5 mi one day with my wife. I quit tacos and mexican restuarants(i might switch to chicken and eat the tacos on occasion, but not right now), i drank one coke this week for lunch. Wife usually cooks pretty healthy but turned it up a notch. I can honestly say i didnt eat anything the past week that didnt taste good. Mostly i just been paying real close to how much cholesterol im eating. Trying to stay 20% daily allowance or well below.

Diet is the number one way to lose weight. You can't out "workout" a crappy diet. Congratulations! I am down 12lbs over the last 6-months and have 3 more to go.

You are dropping water weight the first week. It will slow down to 1-3 lbs after that initial week depending on your dedication to the diet.

And it should to keep it off.

I've lost 6 in about 12 days. Limiting my carbs(sugar, bread, pasta, Beer, etc. ) Another 5-10lbs would be nice. Not sure I will sustain this diet but some.changes are needed.

Great job!!! Make sure you are getting enough protein. Everyone is different but when I drop weight without getting enough protein I lose muscle.

Im wondering about that. Im missing the meat, especially at night. Been eating alot of nuts. I have had plenty of energy, no change there. I started eating a couple of protein bars and a apple juice for breakfast instead of a smoked sausage and cheese biscuit and chocolate milk.

I started to shed a few pounds today. Gonna cut out a biscuit every morning and all the sweets. Gonna be hard to lay off the beer but I’ll try to eat less carbs and stop trying to get full at a meal. I’m right at 200 lbs I wanna get back to 180

I was overeating. Also eating things i knew i didnt need to be eating. I dont plan on giving up everything i like. I dont plan on eating a bunch of crap i dont enjoy eating. Im not a picky eater. Heck, i can even have tacos now and then. I ate a steak saturday night, but a filet instead of a ribeye. The changes i need to make to get where i need to be arent that bad.

Since you liked chocolate milk, try some fair-life protein shakes for breakfast instead of apple juice. Apple juice is basically sugar water and the protein shakes have 30g of protein, essentially no sugar (2 grams) and taste like a chocolate milk.

I might try that later. Right now 8% of my suggested cholesterol intake from one drink first thing in the morning kinda goes against what im trying to do. Im trying to do 0% cholesterol as much as possible for a while. Im gona ease up on that when i feel like ive got it to where i want it. I actually drink regular Fairlife chocolate milk sometimes.

Doctor told me years ago that if I’d keep my carbs around 75-100 a day. I could eat what I wanted and lose weight and not worry about cholesterol and such. I lost a bunch of weight and kept it off until I started back eating too many carbs and my blood-work was always good doing that. 75 carbs ain’t that many though. It’s pretty hard

I've lost 20 this past month, but the first 10 always falls off the first week. I usually lose 3 a week after that. No processed sugars, low carbs, real food, and exercise. I might have done this a few times. 😆

If i could lose 10-15 and keep it off, that would be great. To be honest, i never really set out to lose weight. Im just trying to get my cholesterol down to a level im satisfied with. Weight loss is just an extra. I quit smoking when i turned 40yo and went from 155 to 200, i wouldnt say quick but steadily. I stopped at 200 and said i wouldnt get any bigger. Last year or so i been staying closer to 205-206. I cant just keep going like that and sustaine the life i live, it just wont work. But future heart problems is the thing concerning me.

This is my main diet right now. I say main because I do cheat at events like Christmas week or the week of my kid’s wedding. But overall I only eat meat, eggs and a little cheese. I don’t eat breakfast, rarely eat lunch but eat a lot of protein for supper. Usually about 2lbs of meat at supper. I feel incredible. 10 years younger. No inflammation and no hunger issues. I drink water and a Celsius every day and that’s it. I get a blood panel every 3 months or so just to tract cholesterol and stuff. Diabetes will make you check your diet very quick.
