The older I get the less I can handle alcohol. Used to be the all or nothing guy. Now 2 drinks of any kind and I feel like total crap. It ain’t worth it. Honestly it’s kinda nice.

That seems to be pretty common. I use to never have a hang over no matter how stupid I got, and in my younger days I would. Now 1 shot and I know I did it the next day. 1 feels the same as 3-4 and you’re right, it ain’t worth it.

Just occasionally now. Around the fire or celebrating something….like today. 10th anniversary for me and Mrs. Bamaeyedoc!

Pretty much this. May have a single beer every 2-3 months. Know some people who can't function without it.

I quit drinking September 20, 2023. I don’t miss it and feel better without it. I did not drink a lot but it is total abstinence for me now.

I have not had a drink in a week. But that is what the flu coupled with a broken rib will do. I felt better when I was drinking.

Same. Between the calories and the 2 beer hangovers, I have pretty much stopped drinking except on rare occasions.

I thought it was just me. I used to drink every day, a lot. Now I can drink a beer or two and feel like ass the next day.

Mostly 100% stopped. I used to be able to drink mine a couple other's body weights worth but I started getting bad hangover sick. Now its rare except special occasions where I have at least a full day off the next. Getting old takes fun away from you.

Once you get used to it, you won't miss it at all.

I swear something is dif about beer now. I don't know if it's something they spray it with, new varieties of hops or what but It just doesn't like my gut anymore.

I would suggest to smoke a little smoke, to relieve stress, help out on hurting joints, and make ADD controllable where you can focus and think things through before you impulse do it. But if you do that, you’ll be in the Dope head category, and you don’t want to be in that trashy place. 😁

May I suggest wine as an alternative? 😁😁

I will continue to drink because there are just some things my wife will not do in the bedroom unless she has had a couple drinks. I still enjoy a good date night! It's nice to just sit at the bar and talk to your wife about the days issues and problems. Knowing 100% you getting laid that night.

I am not ready to give it up, but I agree with yall. The older I get the next day you can feel it.

I have a Couple of STOUT Premium Whiskey and Lemonade Drinks every evening. Occasionally will decide not to have a couple.....and I'll wake up 10 times through the night and be tired the next day. Couple drinks.....wake up maybe once a night. When I was 38....I accidentally fell through a roof opening....17 feet on my back. Broke my right shoulder and ALL the ribs but one on the right side. YES.....the PAIN and having to use that Breathing machine to keep the lungs in shape is PURE HELL on EARTH!!
