I don't know why anyone thinks plastic on an engine is a good thing.
The only people that think it's a good idea are the people that only want it to last 3yrs/60,000 miles because after that, a broken part is not an expense, but revenue
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

Buy the Dorman all aluminum cooler from Rock Auto and change it yourself. It's pretty straight forward and easy. I changed mine on my 2016 Wrangler and Woodsman42's 2015 Wrangler. Yes the original plastic design is horsechit. My mechanic told me the Dorman wasn't the one to get. He recommends a different one that it's all aluminum too. He keeps several in stock and says that do a couple to a few a week at their place. I used to do pretty much all the work on my cars and trucks. I've even worked as a mechanic on a race team for a short period of time, but up here, I don't have a garage and I can afford to pay somebody to do the work. I've been very happy with Fort Payne Automotive. Good folks and good quality work.
