Well Tire Engineers is no better. For some reason they think they need to use an impact gun to remove a 12mm head bolt, and have rounded most of mine off. So now they drain the oil from the filter into the skid plate and half butt wash it out.

I had to helicoil some on the 02 tundra, I haven't tried to get under my 05 and look to see what its going to take to get those off. It's pretty sad when that is the only place I take my truck to have the oil changed, and they can't do it properly either.

a majority of mechanics need to have their impacts taken away from them. If you wanna use it to remove bolts, find......but there's not really any reason for them to run bolts down with one. Last time I had to remove lug nuts on one of our cars, I had to use a tire iron with like a 5' steel pipe as a cheater bar just to break them loose.....and I ended up bending the pipe. There's zero excuse for it....it's just laziness on their part

2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement

My 2015 ram has a spin on oil filter that takes a monkey with 4 foot arms to reach comfortably. And once you do get it off good luck getting it out without spilling oil everywhere. It will drip for days.

They aren't mechanics, that's part of the problem too. They get down there and use a 12pt socket and round them off. I have heard them just keep hitting the trigger. It's like hey dummy, you have already stripped it off, squeezing the trigger over and over isn't going to loosen it.

I may have to resort to changing my own again.

I don't like running 5w30 in my Tundra, I for sure don't want to run a 0w20 or less. Thats not even oil, its WD40.

I did that on my 2018 Nissan Frontier 4 door with the V6. I like begin able to get to the filter/drain plug, without all that crap in the way.
