The halogen headlights on my truck are garbage. To me are more yellow and dim than anything. Thinking about trying some LEDs but don’t know the difference in the brightness, brands etc. Needing some recommendations on some I could put on my truck. I don’t like the ice blue ones or some that are so bright it blinds the guy in front of me. Just want better beam so I can see better at night. Truck is a 2015 Ram 2500.

Check Amazon. I put some LED’s on my new ATV’s and it made a huge difference. There was a lot of information on Amazon and reviews. Good luck.

Least expensive and most reliable would be 2 Rigid D-series mounted where your fog lights would be.

Brighter and more effective than the aftermarket LED's, easier to install, likely cheaper total cost.

Sorry Super Spike I thought you were looking for brighter bulbs. Uncle Huck is correct, for pods or light bars, rigid can’t be touched in my book. Others are cheaper for sure but Rigid is by far the best.

Well my post said headlight but I meant bulbs. I’m hoping I can find a plug and play LED bulb. I do need brighter, but like I said I don’t want to blind the guy in front of me and trigger some road rage out of somebody. I just find myself straining my eyes at night to see while driving.

Lights can be as bright as you want, but if you change them make sure you don’t need to adjust the aim of them beam back after you change them.

Yeah I’m going to check that as well. I can’t stand for somebody to be behind me with brights that they know is ridiculous to have on the road. I don’t want mine like that or in somebody’s eyeball.

I buy my bulbs from Headlight Revolution. They have a bunch of info on their website and on YouTube. Good folks to work with.

I just ordered a set of Ursprung 2024 Upgraded LED H7 bulbs for my 2012 GMC Sierra. I read quite a few reviews on them and I am going to give them a try.

went hunting in a jeep the other day with brand new $300 led bulbs, they were aimed pretty low to the ground but it didn't matter people still flashed their lights then the driver would get mad and flash his, I guess you got to do alight of research before spending that kind of money.

It’s not just the aiming of the lights. It’s the housing that the bulbs are going into.

It’s not just the aiming of the lights. It’s the housing that the bulbs are going into.
[/quote]

^^^ to get the full benefit of led bulbs you will need to change entire assembly. Halogen lights have a different reflector pattern requirement that cause led light to scatter. Those that do not change housing appear to always have high beams on. Just swapping to LED bulbs will help you as a driver though. If your headlights are also daytime running (and not a completely different bulb) the led will flicker. I’m not sure the daytime running light setup on ram. I did a ton of research for a Toyota swap several years ago.

Yup. That's why I said what I did. I did the Rigid fog lights first, intending to do the headlights next. After I did that, I no longer needed to upgrade the headlights.

And if you have factory fog lights, they will sell you a mounting bracket to replace them. You can also buy a 2 into 1 or a single connector to plug them directly into your factory harness.

If you go this route, make sure they are street legal before driving down the road with them on. I see dipshits all the time that don’t have street legal foglamps driving in traffic with them on. 🤦‍♂️

I wanted ditch lights on my 4Runner but wanted a clean look. I replaced my factory foglamps with Baja Design foglamps in yellow. They operate using my factory foglamp switch. They are super bright and aren’t meant for driving in traffic. They only get used offroad and they’re amazing.

Tell you, I swapped the old yellow headlights in my 94 for LED. Night and day difference. They are not the asshole bright ones but they make a world of difference. Spent less than $100....
