I would think that you could claim the fair market value based on comparable hunt prices as a charitable donation. We do a lot of charitable hunts on our place but unless I outlay some cash I don't claim anything we are losing enough money just owning land with a bunch of worthless trees on it. Hopefully we got a couple accountants that can chime in and give a better answer.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

The owner of XYZ local tire company sponsors a school hunt on his family property. He puts his banner up for the hunt, buys a rifle for the raffle, gets public recognition for supporting the local school, gets a generation of customers. That sir is an advertising expense and accountants should have no problem putting that cost in the correct column for tax benefits.
