About to walk in to the same area I hunted yesterday. Lotta buck sign in there. 2/02 has been good to me in the past... we shall see.

Out here on Peridio again this morning. Should be a good one! Sure is peaceful in the woods this morning. Waiting for the lord to turn on the lights

I’m on David K Nelson wma. I haven’t climbed a tree in a month and I forgot my pull up rope as I changed over to a new backpack. I am up the tree but it wasn’t easy. Also, my number one buck showed up at 6:15 this morning! I have hunted on my land for a week and haven’t had a decent buck even on camera till today.

Well, my hunt lasted all of 30 minutes, spooked deer trying to get on stand this morning right at 0600 and when I finally got set up, 20 minutes later, I had a deer come up behind me and started blowing and then another blew and they took off running, only went about 50 yds and they stopped and continued to blow....I knew that was it after all of that blowing, so I packed up and got out quietly.....

Your hunt, do what you want, but no way would I quit in the first hour of the day cause a deer blew.

I’ve had em blow, and see other deer 10 minutes later. Did they see you and spook? Could have just seen a bobcat and spooked. Can’t never tell.

I have never had any luck after they blow like that....I know it's a bummer.....I think when they came up behind me they saw me the first time.....I was just getting settled and trying to get my gloves on.....

Sitting in a hardwood bottom with a creek running behind me. Usually can hear them walking on leaves but I can’t hear much of anything thanks to Army Aviation from Ft Rucker. Go fly somewhere else like Samson or Enterprise and let me hunt. rofl

No joke! Hunting in Perdido/South Baldwin county is the same way. Navy outlying fields have trainers flying 24/7

MW I am in the same boat but deer don’t care. And it gives me a chance to move without deer hearing anything. I have one stand on top of a hill right under a flight path they use a lot and it gets loud. They have been very busy lately and been shooting some big stuff over there lately.

I have train tracks running next to my place. Doesn’t phase them. I like it when they come through, gives me a chance to stand up and stretch or what ever. Also helps when trying to slip in and out without the deer getting spooked.

I certainly don't like to have a deer blow. But, I had an experience a couple weeks ago that proves it isn't always a problem. I have a stand with two green patches separated by 30 yards of pines and scrub. There were three bucks and several does feeding in one patch (A), and several does in the other patch(B). Two does winded me in patch B and were blowing like crazy. Deer in first patch A never looked up from feeding. It went on for at least ten minutes. They did not care one bit.

When i had my best hunt of year this year which was this week their was deer blowing hard out to right of field - but buck and good buck just came in field and he has been super wary - but he could give a crap about doe snorting - lip curling and chasing and feeding for 15 min

Also - seen this many times - does that aint ready will blow at a buck chasing them. Actually pretty smart - but he horny so likely will not work

And thats another thing - in rut - some snorts not near as bad as pre rut snorts - they in stupid mode/horny - just like what i experienced above this week
Hope to hunt this evening - good luck boys!!

Back in for the evening sit. Just a doe and a lone button head this morning. In some freshly thinned pines this evening. A deaf doe feed through while I was climbing.

I will be back at it for 4 days next week and will see what happens, I think my frustration level was so high that I through the towel in, maybe a little to early......
