There's a Mexican/Japanese place close to where you are ( Rogersville ) that's really good. Yes, weird combination but the owner explained it to me.

Yep..it was very good..but its been a long time since i eat there..lady i work with said there is one table to sit at inside and they have outside tables when its warm..i thought we sit down an eat there..its ustah be awsome good

This is where I was thinking but closed on Monday. Not sure when Straycat was looking for. Is Lash Seafood still open? There is Libbys in Priceville. Catfish Cabin in Athens. Greenbrier is not that far out of the way. You could detour and hit Dots Soulfood over on 20.

Pizza is great, they also make some fine hoagies for lunch.

Roes just off the square in Athens. $10/$12 lunches with drink. A new place called Southern Table opened up next to the hardware store and I’m hearing good things about it, as well as Black Bear. Roes is a good pick in Athens.

Village Pizza in Athens was one of the best pizza stops I've made in a long, long time. We stopped on our way to Nashville. Currently planning a canoe trip there this year specifically to go back. Amazing pizza.
