We are fishing the Airport high school trail at Lay Lake this weekend. I don’t do good at Lay Lake, and muddy cold water will make it tough I think. At least for us. We gonna pre-fish Friday, hopefully find a pattern of some sort.

Chad

The only reason I hunt ducks is to watch the dogs work.

Good boy Jock

It’s looking like our weekend may be a bust with all the rain coming. I wanted to take mine to pre-fish Friday for a bit but we have a ton of rain coming. Depending on the severity of it, we may not even go. Mine is too young to be out in rough weather plus I want it to be enjoyable at this age.

Looks like I'll be needing a rain suit for practice day and tournament day.

I’m debating really hard about going Friday to see what they are doing but I have a feeling it’s going to be miserable. I’ll probably tell him we going to roll the dice for Saturday.

I caught them until I got tired of it on a 7 gram chartreuse Chinese rap jig today. I'm sure everyone has some of those in their tackle box. smile

Had 4 for dinner cooked in the air fryer and will make fish and shrimp stew from the rest tomorrow. But these are all 14-15" and won't win any tournaments. They been in the same hole for 2 weeks now.

That’s a fine mess poorcountry. That’s all I’m hoping for him. Mines only 8 so right now it’s more about catching.
Hope you’re right Ben.

5 of the biggest you have in the picture wouldn't win a tournament, but they would break the top 20 for a high school boat and make the kids very happy! My boy would be happy with 5 of those next Saturday!
