Have not received mail up here all week and our neighborhood and most areas have been drivable for last 2 days at least. Lots of folks up this way pissed. Is it just lazy workers now days taking advantage of a little inclement weather or is an order from higher up being given. I even talked to a 40 year postal worker last night that retired last year. He is pissed. Is this happening to you guys in north ala or just crap service in my local area ?

Yes. Same in Hampton Cove.

Edit - To be fair, there are still some slick spots but overall, it is safe and clear for mail delivery.

This is a common occurrence over this way
We can go for days and not get any mail and then BOOM the box is overflowing
The girl who delivers thinks it’s a part time job 😁

Being a mail carrier in the era of Amazon etc. looks to be miserable. Our mail carrier lady is great but now she stops at almost every house and gets out to bring a package or three up to the door. Some are very large and she makes several trips.

We get kid's bedding deliveries due to my wife's charity work almost everyday of the week and usually several boxes everyday. This is not what they signed up for years ago. I am amazed they stick with it.

Too phuckin bad for them. I don't know if you are old enough to remember Sears catalogue day or Phone Book day. Sears mailed out bigger things than Amazon. Heck, you could order a three bedroom house through the mail and it would show up on a train.

I'm 61 so I do remember those days...but they were not everyday, just a handful a year!

Just got ours for the first time since Monday. To be fair to the postman this is most likely coming from high up.

Heck on sunny Mondays we don’t typically get mail because our fill in mail carrier. I don’t know her reason but it rarely comes. Usually have to wait until Tuesday for our regular guy.

What happened to the mail got delivered no matter the weather conditions or if it’s dark outside?

Yesterday was the first mail we have gotten since last Saturday. Our carrier is pitiful . We're near the end of the route , sometimes it's 7 PM before she comes by, if she comes by. Then the neighbors may get my stuff and I get theirs. Does 0 good to complain at the office.

Woodduck, I don't know where in TN you are but we are close to the line so our mail goes through Fayettevill and we haven't been getting it for the last couple of days. I'll do without mail for a day or two because the way our mailbox is positioned a mail truck could very likely slide on ice and take it out. I'll wait. UPS, Doordash and Dominoes Pizza is still running though. Well, they were, maybe not now.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
