Best defense we've had in the last 20 yrs was under Pruitt. Bring him back as an analyst this year to get around the show cause, and let him run with it next. He screwed up bad at TN but you've gotta admit, when he was calling it, Bama's defense was stout and played with both aggression and disciplined ball.

Who is Kane Wommack? I had no worries with the offensive staff but we need somebody proven in the sec to run the defense not somebody from south Alabama. It just doesn’t translate on the field or recruiting trail There’s no one proven in the SEC that’s available. They’re all either head coaches, happy where they are, in the NFL, or under NCAA penalties. Kane Wommack is a home run hire. He’s a fantastic defensive coach and the players love him. He had a defense ranked 15th last year, which was better than Bama’s.
