In less than 2 weeks with proper military plan, there would be no more Houthi’s. If the Houthi’s continue interfering with trade ships in International waters , I don’t think there will be much of a choice but to eliminate them. Those people in that part of the world only respect one thing- A Display of Power and Violence. They are literally begging to receive what they are begging for.

I was just reading an article about the US destroyers in the Red Sea.

Positive note: One of the ship's captains said that the first day they shot every threat out of the sky he had 15 sets of reenlistment papers on his desk. That shows the sailors have confidence in our ability to defend our ships.

Negative note: Every time we shoot one of those cheap ass Iranian drones out of the sky the missile that does it costs $2.4 million a piece.

When I was a kid, one of the neighborhood boys decided to stake claim the the pipe that we used to cross the local crick. When I got there, a number of younger boys were standing around wanting to cross but not willing to challenge him.

I was nearer to his age and size. He told me he wasn't scared and wasn't moving. I informed him "it's not necessary to be scared to get that arse whipped" right before I sent him swimming with the crawfish.

That's exactly the situation with the Hooty's and Iran, as I see it. But that's just me.

What we need to do is sail away and make this everyone else's problem. That's the shortest pathway to fixing the Hooty issue. When they are shooting at shipping going to Brazil, China... pick any Country on the Globe and we aren't there to shoot back the problem will get resolved. Quickly. Guaranteed.

I'll say that is partially correct. The soldiers have the stomach and means to get it done, but politically we are a schit show and handcuff our military.

I know it is wrong and not Christian to think this way, but sometimes I think that in today's overly civilized world, that sometimes old testament justice is what is really needed to set things straight and get everything and everyone back on the straight and narrow.

The Houthis want it....give them exactly what they want. Fly around Yemen for 6 days and then kill every living breathing thing in the country, all the way down to the last goat, and look to the rest of the Middle East and ask the questions: "Any of y'all familiar with the bible and most especially the old testament? Anyone got a problem with this? We're just getting warmed up. Who wants to be next?" Guess what, they won't be taking anymore pot shots at our troops or assets, no more hijacking ships, no more trying to develop nukes, no more sponsoring terrorism, or yanking our chain anymore. They've been fighting since the dawn of time and the only thing those people over there understand and respect is brute force. It's been since WWII, that the US actually exhibited any. They view the US as weak, because we as a nation are weak, due to our elected leaders, for 80+ years now, not having the stomach to do what is needed.
