When I hunted down there it was MLK day thru end of season. I hunted there for years and this is spot on. Start hunting hard on MLK day and stay after them for 2 weeks. Crazy strong rut in that area.

The bucks have been moving in Sardis since about the first of the month which has always been par for the course. As the does start to come in heat the bigger boys will be on the move from now until the end of the season. Really strongest this next week though traditionally
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Hunted over the last two weekends at our place in Sardis. First weekend was pretty slow and the wind was really blowing, but saw a few different bucks still in bachelor groups. This past weekend they seemed to be breaking up those groups and a little more interested in the ladies. Not chasing, more like flirting. It’s getting close! We’re pretty selective with the bucks we take, so we watch a lot and I’m grateful to have a place to do that. This weekend should be excellent. We hunted lastnight saw a few was crazy cold, we are hunting east of cedar creek right off 41 just outside of town (post office), I have a chance to go back feb 7-10 wondering if rut will be better during that time, I’ve heard for where we are at there that that’s a primetime any info be great , thanks

anybody think rut will still be goin feb 7-10 Depends on what you consider "the rut"......Most does will probably already be out of estrous by that time but you'll still have some strays out there and bucks looking for them
