Well, I've sort of changed my tune on him. If we can get him, I think he'll do fine. Folks were talking about him not being able to recruit in the SEC as well since he's not familiar with the area and conference. Someone made a good point today on sports radio. Prior to Saban going to LSU, he didn't recruit the SEC either. He figured it out and it worked out pretty good. Not saying DeBoer is remotely in Saban's leauge as a coach but Saban proved that you can come into a conference you've never played in, coached in, or even been in, and do well.
Personally, I did not want Kiffin, Sark, or Norvell. Kiffin brings too much drama although he's a good coach and pretty entertaining. Sark, meh. He wouldn't get me excited at all. Norvell can keep his whinny azz in Tallahassee.
Looks like the candidate pool is shrinking so Bama better figure something out.

He better get a class on how to speak jive/ebonics. Different world down here. He's coming from Seattle. He may not speak Jive but he'll be fluent in Freak and Gay.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Looks like the candidate pool is shrinking so Bama better figure something out. I agree with you Benji. A lot of things are getting clearer and changing from everything that I heard yesterday. Yesterday it was Saban has been setting his retirement up over the past two months and was lining things up for his successor. Even the board knew about it. Well today I'm hearing that none of that is true, and even though Byrne knew that it could happen, he and all involved were caught off guard. So Bama was caught flat footed. Now they are contacting viable candidates and those coaches are renegotiating their deals and staying put. So now we better hope it's DeBoer because that's all that's left. Somebody that has better information please clear up my post. Thanks.

ESPN just reported DeBoer is ironing out contract details with Alabama.

Yep I saw that too. What’s y’all’s thoughts? You got to give it to the man. He ain't scared to follow up Saban. I heard also that his two daughters are the best softball players in the country.

Yep I saw that too. What’s y’all’s thoughts? Wasn’t my first pick but by no means disappointed. Per Cowherd this was the administration’s top choice so we got our guy.

interesting hire........... I wanted Kiffin. Gotta admit he’s not too bad and they could have done worse. He’s 104-12 as a head coach.
